Lady’s mantle

The alchemilla vulgaris that is also known as Lady’s mantle, is kind of a herb which grows from April to August. This kind of  herb is able to  reach 10-40 cm. and has long leaves with serrated edges. Its leaves are yellowish-green in color, and have been a part of many folk remedies in the past. The root of this plant has no medicinal value.

This known  herb can also prevent spontaneous abortion, infertility and can promote proper delivery.

What is more, the leaves of the herb can treat diarrhea, oral problems, pharynx diabetes, obesity, inflammation, inflammatory diseases, anemia and minor cuts and wounds. The best way to use the leaves in the form of tea, even though you can use it in the form of cream and extract as well.

Lady’s mantle tea

Put to boil 200 ml. of water and add in it  2 tablespoons of lady’s mantle leaves, then leave the mixture to steep for 10 minutes. Consume 3 cups of the tea per day in small sips – if you’re suffering from heavy menstrual cycle, make the tea kind of stronger.

Females that are at an increased risk of miscarriage should drink 4-6 cups of the tea per day. This kind of  tea can also help in cases of white vaginal discharge, and can be used in combination with chamomile, sage, yarrow or marigold tea. Even though it is pretty much safe for everyone, pregnant and breastfeeding women are not recommended to drink it. People that are suffering from liver or gallbladder problems should also stay away from it as the tea can worsen the symptoms.
